St. John the Baptist - New Brighton
"These signs will accompany those who believe... They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:17
About the Event
Healing was an essential dimension of Jesus' ministry and remained central to the proclamation of the Gospel in the early church. We believe that it continues to be one of the most powerful ministries to advance the New Evangelization and that Jesus continues to invite disciples to share in His healing ministry today.
The School of Healing is a 2-day event that teaches Catholics how to pray with others for healing. It discusses theological foundations for healing ministry, offers models for healing prayer, and provides hands-on experience praying with others. It is appropriate for those new to prayer ministry and for experienced ministers who seek continued growth. This is also excellent for small group leaders and members seeking training in praying for healing.
The school meets at St. John the Baptist in New Brighton on May 9th and 10th (Friday evening and all-day Saturday). Participants will also be invited to serve on prayer teams for the public healing service to be held following the school Saturday night (May 10th) from 7-10 pm.
